The dinner will be served in the Ecology Center gardens adjacent to the South Coast Farm fields, the only certified organic farm in Orange County. The evening includes a meal prepared by guest chef Richard Mead, of Orange County's renowned Sage Restaurants emphasizing the relationship between the meal and how the food served is farmed. The meal will feature fresh caught seafood, seasonal organic produce, free range meats, organic/biodynamic wines and artisan cheeses. It will be served family-style in an intimate, outdoor setting. For each course, the local producer will share a story of how each item journeyed to our table. While at the center, guests are invited to join their neighbors in a tour of a working organic farm to explore concepts in ecological agriculture and local food production. www.theecologycenter.org
